Sunday Sermon Summary: "He Had To Let Me Live!"

Praise Tabernacle International, Plantation, FL.

Pastor D. H. Dawkins

Today’s Sunday service topic focused on the POWER of sharing your testimony!

Key verses- Joshua 4:1-9 & 20-24 (KJV):

1And it came to pass, when all the people were clean passed over Jordan, that the LORD spake unto Joshua, saying,

2Take you twelve men out of the people, out of every tribe a man,

3And command ye them, saying, Take you hence out of the midst of Jordan, out of the place where the priests' feet stood firm, twelve stones, and ye shall carry them over with you, and leave them in the lodging place, where ye shall lodge this night.

4Then Joshua called the twelve men, whom he had prepared of the children of Israel, out of every tribe a man:

5And Joshua said unto them, Pass over before the ark of the LORD your God into the midst of Jordan, and take ye up every man of you a stone upon his shoulder, according unto the number of the tribes of the children of Israel:

6That this may be a sign among you, that when your children ask their fathers in time to come, saying, What mean ye by these stones?

7Then ye shall answer them, That the waters of Jordan were cut off before the ark of the covenant of the LORD; when it passed over Jordan, the waters of Jordan were cut off: and these stones shall be for a memorial unto the children of Israel for ever.

8And the children of Israel did so as Joshua commanded, and took up twelve stones out of the midst of Jordan, as the LORD spake unto Joshua, according to the number of the tribes of the children of Israel, and carried them over with them unto the place where they lodged, and laid them down there.

9And Joshua set up twelve stones in the midst of Jordan, in the place where the feet of the priests which bare the ark of the covenant stood: and they are there unto this day.

20And those twelve stones, which they took out of Jordan, did Joshua pitch in Gilgal.

21And he spake unto the children of Israel, saying, When your children shall ask their fathers in time to come, saying, What mean these stones?

22Then ye shall let your children know, saying, Israel came over this Jordan on dry land.

23For the LORD your God dried up the waters of Jordan from before you, until ye were passed over, as the LORD your God did to the Red sea, which he dried up from before us, until we were gone over:

24That all the people of the earth might know the hand of the LORD, that it is mighty: that ye might fear the LORD your God for ever.

Pastor came out ON FIRE!

Referring to the key verses (verse 5), everyone had to carry their load.

Each stone represented a testimony for the next generation to see (verses 6 & 7). “Testimonies are common dilemmas, but we take our own paths.” They overcome the enemy. They are necessary, and not optional.” “You were made an overcomer by Jesus.” “When you were born the chemistry of the Earth shifted” (that is POWERFUL)! We were not placed here to be “accessories.” We are necessary. We are more than conquerors. Testimonies are a threat to hell, because you made it through the deliverance of Thee Savior. Your testimonies are like swords, and weapons. They are lifelong.

Do not be ashamed of sharing your testimony. “Many of GOD’s’ people have been shamed, because of the devil, and falling back to peoples perceptions.” “Manipulation at its’ best is intimidation is action.” Why? “Because it gives people hope.” We can give the hope we wished that someone had given us. That “genuine, not available, shoulder.” Someone who understands; someone who knows what you are exactly going through. There is no power in a testimony that has no experience. “Show me your receipt. Your scar!” “Don’t agree with shame unless you agree with negative critics.”

Your testimony belongs to you. If what you went through did not challenge you, then it could not change you. It is suppose to “provoke growth out of you.” “If you’re gonna go through hell, you better come out ON FIRE!!!” Your testimony will always out live your miracle. The next generation is in need. They must see the “stones.” “GOD has built you for some things that others were not [your stone; testimony], so they can use it! We must remember when we do share our testimonies; we should use discretion, discernment, and dignity.

Life Application

[CLAPS!] We were created for a purpose to impact! Everything that we do is greater than us! What we go through is suppose to contribute to the next generation. We are BUILDING block, by block for the Kingdom! Every BLOCK matters! We must never become so ashamed of our past that it paralyzes us! People are counting on you! YES YOU ARE NEEDED! Remember, only GOD has the finally say, and can place value on you! It is because of GOD, Jesus, that I was able to start this blog—sharing my life, willingly. The chains have been removed, and I am FREE to be!!! I just pray that we all are able to realize that GOD, HAD TO LET US LIVE! Do not miss the opportunity!

You did not have to, BUT YOU DID!

Gloryyy!!!

Thank you Father!!!
