Diary Dialogue Nineteen: Wisdom and Understanding

Dear Diary,

This week GOD has placed on my heart to not seek only for answers, but for wisdom and understanding. Last week in Discipleship class, Pastor had spoken about reading the book of Psalms in the morning and then Proverbs right before bed. I have been trying to do this being that I am already in the book of Psalms (Second time reading the Bible cover to cover)! The book of Psalms is literally the book of songs! It is the gratification and reverence onto GOD! The Bible tells us “O sing unto the Lord a new song: sing unto the Lord, all the earth" (Psalm 96:1). Proverbs is the book of wisdom and understanding. It speaks about what these two are, the source of them, and the impact of their lacking.

What has been instrumental to me is how GOD has been working on me to see and comprehend the BIGGER picture—end goal. We all want to go higher and elevate to the next level, but have we mastered and taken in all that we needed on this current level? Did we receive the wisdom and understanding that GOD needed us to? How can you be well-equipped for the next chapter in life, when lingering, unfinished business are left in the previous one? We must start getting real with ourselves. We NEED to get out of denial and remove all the "voluntary scales” from our eyes. Stop praying to GOD about the things you refused to handle and get right with yourself. Challenge yourself to see EVERYTHING through GOD EYES! Ask yourself "What does GOD need from me in order for me to show Him that I am ready to move forward?" Ask for the strategy, knowledge and resources that you will need in order to get through. In all that we do, there are lessons to be learned and gained.

Proverbs 2:6 (KJV):

For the LORD giveth wisdom: out of his mouth cometh knowledge and understanding.

Proverbs 3:5 (KJV):

Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. Seek for wisdom and understanding. #Reality😳 #Truth📖 #ImustGoHIGHER🔝 Selah…♡
