Weekend Ventures: "ROCK the BLOCK!"
This weekend I had a wonderful privilege of participating in my very first ever “Rock the Block!” It is hosted by International Street Outreach, and their motto is “Impacting Communities for a Better Tomorrow, Transforming your World” (“Rock,” 2015). “Rock The Block Florida is an evangelistic outreach ministry that focuses on reaching out to kids and families. We host several community outreaches through the United States by partnering with other organizations, businesses, churches and people who just want to impact other lives” (“Rock,” 2015).
The Rock, referring to GOD, Jesus, Himself (Psalm 18:2)! The event included free food, testimonials, Christian entertainment, and of course, a powerful sermon! The purpose of Rock to Block, is to spread The Gospel, by bringing Jesus to enlighten the community; especially those where the enemy “believes” he has most influence over! I truly enjoyed every minute of it! True worship can happen anywhere. Though it was pouring down, we still had a great time!
