In observance of Holy Consecration Week starting Sunday, January 3rd - Sunday January, 10th, there will be no blogs this week!

“In the Bible the word consecration means “the separation of oneself from things that are unclean, especially anything that would contaminate one’s relationship with a perfect God. Consecration also carries the connotation of sanctification, holiness, or purity” (“Got Questions,” 2016).

"The purpose of fasting is to set aside a time to consecrate ourselves to the ministry of the Holy Spirit, to allow for the increase of our spiritual capacity to the administration of the Holy Spirit. Fasting is the abstinence from regular meals (solid food) for a period stipulated. This allows for discipline of physical appetites, and brings the body under subjection to spiritual desires. A day's fast is a 24 hour period. One can also fast half a day, or day light fast" (PTI, 2016).

Holy Consecration is a time of focused sanctification, and purifying with GOD. Your flesh is denied of any personal pleasure that is not godly, and holy. The principle here is to increase your time, and focus on GOD, and strengthening the relationship you have with Him.

I have chosen to restrict my social media usage. Though I will not be posting on here, IG, and Twitter, I plan on summarizing my daily experiences/devotionals for each day on my Facebook community page.
