I love him so much that I am going to hell for him
There is no one like my man.
If he tells me to jump, I’ll ask “How high?”
He has my heart.
It’s like he has me under his spell.
He has ALL of my attention.
Never met anyone like him.
I’ll do anything for him.
Anything.
Yes, I do call myself a "queen," even though he didn’t have to work for my crown.
I practically handed all my jewels to him.
So what I'm giving out my treasure?
How else are you supposed to keep a man around?
How else are you supposed to see if you like something or not?
Doesn’t the saying go “You gotta test drive a car, before you purchase it?”
I mean, I’m not comparing myself to a piece of metal, but you know that’s what “they” say.
I know! I knowwwww!
I am old enough to see the world differently, and have resources at my reach, but this is all that I've ever known.
I mean, Nana, and Papa turned out alright!
So did Unc, and Annie!
Plus the times are different.
So why change up now?
No my man ain’t die on the cross for me.
No he did not endure pain for my livelihood.
No If he had a son, he wouldn’t kill him for my sake.
No he didn’t create life, to give me life.
No he is not a keeper over me, that neither slumber nor sleeps.
But hey!
It’s all good.
Yes, I love GOD, but GOD will understand.
He knows my heart. I'm not perfect. So don’t judge me.
Plus I hate being alone. Everybody else is boo’ed up! I got to do the same!
Just let me live now, and when I am older, I’ll get it together.
Just like the elder folks in my family did it.

I’m young. I got time.
Confident.
You only got one life to live, right?
Once we get married, it will be fine…even though it’s been six years…
This isn’t hurting no one, so what’s REALLY the big deal?
No my daughter will not learn by my example that her body should be be treasured, and that she is worth the wait.
No my son will not understand that he must work hard, and nothing worth having will come easily.
I’ll just tell them to "Do better than me... " just like mom said to me.
No I'm not worth the fight.
No I'm not worth the ring.
I love him sooo much!
