Sunday Sermon Summary: “I Got Good News!"

Today's sermon spoke about the arrival of GOOD NEWS!

Praise Tabernacle International, Plantation, FL.

Pastor D. H. Dawkins, Sr.

The key verse was taken from Proverbs 11:27:

King James Version:

"He that diligently seeketh good procureth favour: but he that seeketh mischief, it shall come unto him.”

New Living Translation:

"If you search for good, you will find favor; but if you search for evil, it will find you!”

We live in a world surrounded by negativity.

There is power in our general perceptions, and the perceptions of ourselves. If you perceive yourself negatively, then you will find negatives! This is self-destructive when you internally harbor feelings, and begin to compare (i.e. through social media) yourself to others. It can go as far as even when something good happens to you, you start to sabotage yourself, and pull out all the wrongs.

“What I lift, I promote.”

You need a “Space of Grace." There is an immediate circle that surrounds you, and it is your peaceful place. Wherever you go, make a demand “NOT TODAY!” Do not allow people to high-jack the happy, peaceful moments from you. Look for the exit, and not the excuses.

Make your winning streak contagious when you connect with others! Due to culture, sometimes our communication cannot be articulated well. However, we yearn for the one thing that only Christ can provide (Haggai 2).

GOOD NEWS!

Although you are surrounded by negativity, and your voids cannot be satisfied by others, A BRAND NEW chapter is here! It is time to start a new age!

Examine your outlook. Take the time out to stop, and study yourself before you react. (Are you negative? Or positive?) How you see it will be the prophecy of how it comes out. [Selah]

When faith overcomes fear, healing (emotionally, physically, and spiritually) is the result! There may be some unresolved issues, where purposeful decisions should be made. What ever you are looking for, will find you! Feelings can bury you. Be optimistic. Have faith, and hope in GOD.

Romans 8:1-2 (KJV):

"1 So now there is no condemnation for those who belong to Christ Jesus. 2 And because you belong to him, the power of the life-giving Spirit has freed you from the power of sin that leads to death."

Psalms 103:12 (KJV):

“As far as the east is from the west, so far hath he removed our transgressions from us."

One issue will bring you to GOD, but He cleanses you all from it. Just as one washes the whole shirt with one stain, He washes it (sin) all off of you. When you get convicted by GOD, it is not for you to hide, or lie—but to run to Him. Bring those burdens to Him!

GOOD NEWS!

Hope is looking for you!

Sins are forgiven!

Eternity is secured!

Walk in the confidence with GOD! When you do this, you do not need to lean, and depend on the words of others. You are in Christ. Anchor yourself in Him, and not how you feel.

GOOD NEWS!

Romans 8:34 (NIV):

"Who then is the one who condemns? No one. Christ Jesus who died—more than that, who was raised to life—is at the right hand of God and is also interceding for us.”

There is nothing like someone who has prayed, and is prayING for you.

Thee Lord is intercedING = current (ongoing) prayer, for us.

GOOD NEWS!

Romas 8:18 (NLT):

"Yet what we suffer now is nothing compared to the glory he will reveal to us later.”

[AMENNN!!!]

Consider James 1:2-4 (NLT), when facing battles:

“2 Dear brothers and sisters, when troubles of any kind come your way, consider it an opportunity for great joy. 3 For you know that when your faith is tested, your endurance has a chance to grow. 4 So let it grow, for when your endurance is fully developed, you will be perfect and complete, needing nothing."

Do not be distracted by the negativity of the process of GOD in your life! What happens now cannot be compared to the healing of tomorrow!

Romans 8:6 (KJV):

“So letting your sinful nature control your mind leads to death. But letting the Spirit control your mind leads to life and peace.”

“If GOD is for me, who can be against?” (Romans 8:31)

Take the weight off of the unnecessary.

GOOD NEWS!

Romans 8:32-38

“32 Since he did not spare even his own Son but gave him up for us all, won’t he also give us everything else? 33 Who dares accuse us whom God has chosen for his own? No one—for God himself has given us right standing with himself. 34 Who then will condemn us? No one—for Christ Jesus died for us and was raised to life for us, and he is sitting in the place of honor at God’s right hand, pleading for us. 35 Can anything ever separate us from Christ’s love? Does it mean he no longer loves us if we have trouble or calamity, or are persecuted, or hungry, or destitute, or in danger, or threatened with death? 36 (As the Scriptures say, 'For your sake we are killed every day; we are being slaughtered like sheep.') 37 No, despite all these things, overwhelming victory is ours through Christ, who loved us. 38 And I am convinced that nothing can ever separate us from God’s love. Neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither our fears for today nor our worries about tomorrow—not even the powers of hell can separate us from God’s love."

(Pictured Pastor D.H.Dawkins demonstrating how NOTHING can ever separates us from GOD. We are tied to Him.)

Romans 8:24 (NLT):

"We were given this hope when we were saved. (If we already have something, we don’t need to hope for it."

GOD’s spirit helps when we are weak. Forgiveness is not an event, but a process. You lose happiness when you are stuck on people. On bad days you get to learn GOD better. Learning different sides of Him can be used to teach others who are going through the same thing. These storms help to un-layer your worship. If you do not go through circumstances, then you cannot worship GOD in that certain way. [Selah]

You cannot out praise GOD because He is always on to the next! He has done one thing for you, and as you are thanking Him for that, He moves on to the next upcoming victory! Your worship cannot out praise Him!

Again what you lift, is what your promote. When you promote Christ, He draws you in!

GOOD NEWS!

Romans 8:28 (NLT):

“And we know that God causes everything to work together for the good of those who love God and are called according to his purpose for them."

All of that we go through is not aimed to hurt us, but to promote us. GOD will now have a greater platform to display us!

If someone hurts you, forgive them.

Endure instead of enjoy. Not all seasons are meant to be enjoyed. Some are meant to be endured.

Again, Romans 8:39 (NLT):

“No power in the sky above or in the earth below—indeed, nothing in all creation will ever be able to separate us from the love of God that is revealed in Christ Jesus our Lord."

You begin to start your own path. Removing people may feel like a severance, and burden, but being with GOD, you are bound.

GOOD NEWS!!!

Life Application

GOOD NEWS: GOD got me! I got Him!

Power of RELATIONSHIP!

Nothing else to say!!!
